Family-friendly conduct, camping rules, dog rules, alcohol rules, smoking/vaping restrictions, minors, and arena safety.
Family-Friendly Event
The Kispiox Valley Rodeo is a family-friendly event. KVRC has no tolerance for bad behaviour or excessive partying. The grounds are patrolled 24/7 by a private security team with additional support and patrols by the RCMP.
People found in breach of rules may be removed from the grounds, banned for the remainder of the weekend, or banned indefinitely.
Rules by Area
Contestants
- Be courteous of the people around you.
- Park close to other units, no more than 3.5 metres between setups.
- Pens must be no more than 12′ x 12′ and situated directly behind your setup.
- Contestant horses are not permitted in the rodeo pens.
- Contestant parking is in the Contestant Area only.
Camping
- Generators may only be used when necessary between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
- No glass on the grounds. Please pack plastic, cans, or non-glass reusable containers.
Dogs
- Well-behaved dogs are permitted on leash.
- Dogs must be on leash at all times.
- Dogs are not permitted in the bleachers or concession area.
Everyone on the Grounds
- No illegal drugs.
- Alcohol may only be consumed in the Beer Gardens, at licensed events, or within your campsite.
- No underage drinking.
- No smoking or vaping in the bleachers, concession area, main hall, or hall deck.
- Minors must be accompanied by adults.
- No one may enter the arena or stock pens without a direct invitation from the Arena Director or Announcer.
Arena & Stock Pens
Under no circumstances is anyone to enter the rodeo arena or stock pens without a direct invitation from the Arena Director or Announcer. If you are asked to leave the arena, please do so immediately.
